Leadership Opportunities

 

As a member-based organization, IPA looks to the insight and experience of its members to lead the association to better serve our members. IPA Board of Directors

The IPA Board of Directors is the governing body responsible for advancing the goals and objectives of the association. The board ensures clear communication between IPA and its members and maintains a strong awareness of our members' needs, desires and attitudes.  With that understanding, the board shapes the association's personality, defines its goals, sets its budget, and charts its future.

Directors are elected to serve a 2-year term, for a maximum of 2 consecutive terms.  The board has an orientation each April and then meets virtually in June, August, October, December, and February.  Terms run from May 1 - April 30. Timeline for Election of Board Members

  • January - Nominations are opened for officers and directors.
  • February - The election for officers and directors is held.
  • May - The elected board members begin their term of office.

Officers - Elected officer positions include President-Elect and Treasurer.  The President-Elect will assume the role of President the year following their election and the role of Past President the year thereafter.  For further information about these positions, please see the IPA by-laws

Academy Board of Directors

IPA's five academies are governed by their own board of directors.  The academies represent distinct practice settings in the pharmacy profession and carry out the mission of IPA within those settings. 

Directors are elected to serve a 2-year term, for a maximum of 2 consecutive terms.  Each academy typically meets virtually every month. Terms run from May 1 - April 30. See the IPA Academy by-laws for more information about the various IPA Academy Board of Directors.
