A state employee plan or PBM may not require a pharmacy to collect a higher copayment for a prescription drug than what the plan allows the pharmacy to retain. A pharmacist, by standing order, may dispense auto-injectable epinephrine with the proof of a certificate of completion issued by the state department of health. Licensed pharmacy technician may transfer a prescription in accordance with pharmacy practice; a pharmacy technician may administer an influenza immunization under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The bill includes pharmacist prescribing sterile water for injection, prescription drug purchases, and a policy of accident and sickness insurance. HB 1207 takes effect on July 1, 2020.
