Words Lindsey Lives By: If you laugh, you think, and you cry, that's a full day. That's a heck of a day. You do that seven days a week, you're going to have something special. -Jim Valvano

Biography
Lindsey is a student pharmacist from Butler University pursuing a Doctor of Pharmacy degree. Her past clinical rotations include experiences in Nutrition Support at Riley Hospital for Children and General Medicine at IU Methodist. Lindsey is from Seymour, IN. Her hobbies include listening and playing music, attending basketball and soccer sporting events, and going to history museums.

Why Pharmacy?
Lindsey made the choice to pursue pharmacy after getting the opportunity to shadow pharmacists at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour, Indiana during high school. She was also exposed to the profession during a high school Career Development class, and from there made the choice that pharmacy was the only career path for her. She combined her love of chemistry and learning with her desire to provide care for patients and has since never looked back.

Career Interests
Upon completion of her clinical rotations, Lindsey would like to complete a PGY1 residency at a hospital within the state of Indiana. Lindsey is interested in internal medicine disease states such as diabetes, cardiovascular health, and infectious disease and would like to practice in one of these areas upon completion of a PGY1 residency.

IPA Involvement
Lindsey is a member of IPA and has enjoyed working with the IPA team to improve member experience and help lead the advancement of the profession of pharmacy.  She is on rotation with Randy Hitchens, Executive Vice President of IPA, and fellow P4 pharmacy student Betsy Gillenwater. She is currently involved in fine-tuning aspects of the IPA website to enhance member experience and ease of use, as well as helping prepare for the IPA Annual Convention in April.
