Meet Jacob Lewis, one of our IPA students for the month of July!
By IPA on 7/23/2019
My name is Jacob Lewis, and I am a P4 PharmD candidate from Butler University. I was born and raised in the Midwest (Columbus, OH) and proudly claim the title of “youngest child” (out of three). I became interested in Pharmacy since I have always been interested in math and the sciences thus I naturally gravitated toward the medical field and specifically narrowed it down to pharmacy. During my college search, I found myself wondering across Butler University’s campus imaging the possibilities of what could be. Butler gave me the small school feel yet still offered a top-notch education. On top of Butler having a six-year PharmD program, Butler allowed me to fulfill another dream of mine, becoming a D1 student athlete. As a student athlete, I was able to continue my athletics career by playing football for the Bulldogs. My experience at Butler University has truly been invaluable. Flash forward to present day in my last year of pharmacy school going through rotations I have developed a desire and passion to pursue a career within the pharmaceutical industry. I am currently interested in pursuing a fellowship in either project management or medical affairs. I believe I possess a unique set of skills that will allow me to be successful and a leader within this field. I am thankful for my experience here at IPA and look forward to what the future holds.
