Meet IPA's May Rotation Student
By Dylan Goodman on 6/4/2021
Hi everyone, my name is Dylan Goodman and I'm a current fourth-year pharmacy student at Butler University. I'm from Munster, IN and have spent the past five years in Indianapolis. I've always been interested in a career in healthcare. I grew up with family members who worked in the hospital, and I naturally gravitated toward pharmacy. I became interested in how pharmacists knew how each medication worked and how adjusting medications would improve patient health.
Today is my last day on rotation with Indiana Pharmacists Association, and I have enjoyed every day of it. My preceptor, Darren Covington, along with Stacy, have both made me feel like an important part of the team.
After graduation I hope to become a resident and pursue a career in ambulatory care pharmacy. My favorite part of my current job is interacting with people when I'm providing immunizations or counseling on a medication. I get to hear personal stories and reassure people if they are nervous about a vaccine. I look forward to creating relationships and building trust with patients in my community.
