Meet IPA's March Rotation Student

By Alex Young on 3/27/2020

My name is Alex Young, a P4 rotation student from Manchester University, and I am from the rural community of Osgood, Indiana. During my time on rotation, I am glad that I was able to serve IPA and learn more by attending meetings and keeping current with pharmacy-related resources and news. This month was filled with providing resources for passed bills from the short legislative session and providing credible, current information regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. I hope these resources were informative and well received! My interest for pharmacy came when I was a young boy in Boy Scouts and the assistant Scoutmaster was a pharmacist. After seeing the need in my own community, and realizing my interest in the profession, I decided to pursue a career in pharmacy as a way to serve others. My passion is to help those who would otherwise go without, and to help meet each of those needs with a kind, caring, and compassionate spirit.  I am eager to continue my involvement in IPA, stay current with the Indiana Rural Health Association, and to stay engaged with my community to serve freely. My plan after graduation is to work as an independent pharmacist at George’s Family Pharmacy. I am grateful for each opportunity and I look expectantly for what lies ahead!
