Legislative Day a Success With Record Attendance

IPA's 2019 Legislative Day was a huge success this year, featuring a record-setting 190 pharmacists, legislators, technicians, and students in attendance. The event, which took place at the Hyatt Regency downtown, was made possible from our very generous sponsors - IU Health, Pfizer, McKesson, IPC, APSC, and APCI. We are thankful to have the support from the students and staff of Butler, Purdue, and Manchester Colleges of Pharmacy.

The event featured powerful speeches, including those from Senator Ron Grooms, House Representative Steve Davisson, Lobbyist Russ Stults, and Veronica Vernon, our Legislative and Regulatory Council co-chair. The energy was high as everyone learned about the impact of today's legislative efforts for the profession of pharmacy, as well as the bills currently in place to impact the future. Members and students in attendance visited the Indiana State House following the event, getting to see first-hand where our legislative efforts are taking place year-round.
