Jessica's Words to Live By: We don't make mistakes, just happy accidents~Bob Ross

By Jessica Williams on 11/16/2018

Jess is a PharmD candidate at Butler University with past clinical rotations at Methodist Hospital and St. Vincent. She was born and raised in Indy. She has a B.S. in Biology & Chemistry from Marian University. During her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends. This Christmas, she will be with her mother in Florida soaking up the sun on the beach.

Why Pharmacy?
Jess chose pharmacy because of opportunities she had in high school to shadow at IU West inpatient pharmacy and Walgreens. She was able to see the impact a pharmacist could have on patients care in both settings. She has also had a close connection to the pharmacists at her local Meijer pharmacy. These connections and opportunities inspired her to pursue pharmacy.

IPA Involvement
Jess is currently on rotation with Randy Hitchens at IPA. She is continuously promoting the role of a pharmacist through the IPA website and other social media platforms. She will also be the author of this week's InTouch Newsletter. Her time here at IPA has helped her to build a stronger network in the pharmacy community.

Future Plans
After Jess's rotation at the IPA, she will be back at IU West in January for an ambulatory rotation. She is currently working on her PHORCAS application to apply for residency programs in the Indianapolis area. She is excited to be graduating from Butler in the spring and take the next step in her career.
