Indiana Pharmacists Association Joins State and National Pharmacy Associations in Submitting Comment Letter to CMS in Support of Pharmacists' Recognition as Providers

Indiana Pharmacists Association Joins State and National Pharmacy Associations in Submitting Comment Letter to CMS in Support of Pharmacists' Recognition as Providers: In response to President Trump's Executive Order #13890, entitled Protecting and Improving Medicare for Our Nation’s Seniors", the Indiana Pharmacists Association joined state and national pharmacy organizations in penning a comment letter to Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Seema Verma, highlighting the valuable role of pharmacists, the importance of having pharmacists practice at the top of their license, and the need for formal recognition of pharmacists as providers. IPA appreciates the collaboration between virtually every state and national pharmacy association in highlighting the importance of pharmacists as providers. IPA will continue to work at the state and federal level to advocate for recognition and payment for pharmacist-provided patient care and services.
