136th Convention and Exposition

Our 136th Annual Convention and Exposition will be the largest gathering of pharmacy professionals in the state this year.  We will be offering up to 12.0 hours/1.2 CEUs of ACPE Accredited Continuing Pharmacy Education presented by pharmacy professionals from Indiana and across the nation.  Our Keynote Speaker is Rear Admiral Pamela Schweitzer, PharmD, the Chief Pharmacy Officer of the U.S. Public Health Service.  RADM Schweitzer’s dedication to public service and profound leadership have had tremendous impact on the world of pharmacy.

Thursday's topics include Actionable Pharmacogenomics, COPD, Diabetes, Opiod Crisis, and Herbs and Suppliments,  During lunch,  the Alliance will present annual pharmacist awards to recipients chosen by their peers.  Take your "Passport Card" to our Exhibition Hall and visit the vendor displays.  The Dean's Social Reception immediately follows featuring Cash Bar and discussions by the Deans from our three colleges of pharmacy here in Indiana, Butler, Purdue and Manchester.  To end the day, you will choose from three restaurants in close proximity of our hotel for our well received "Dinner in the City" event.

Friday's lineup is even more important to your practice.  We begin with Residents giving Clinical Pearl presentations. Next we have scheduled several discussions regarding Indiana Laws and Legislative Advancements followed by the IPAC Luncheon Fundraiser with Special Guest Speakers: Indiana Senator Ron Grooms, Indiana House Rep. Steve Davisson, Bill Keown JD Lobbyist and John Hertig, Chair of our Legislative and Regulatory Council with Specially Invited Guest, Buddy Carter (GA) the only US Senator that is a pharmacist.  After lunch, among the topics are Transitions of Care, Drugs and QT Interval, Patient Safety in Workplace, New Drug & Pipeline Updates, and Clinical Pharmacy Networks.  This day ends with a Networking Reception for all attendees. We hope you will join us for two days of outstanding CE presentations, exhibition of new products and innovations, networking with colleagues and fun!
