The passage of the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) 93
contained provisions which affect the deductibility of your dues for
Alliance membership. Specifically, when filing your federal tax
return, the law does not allow the deduction, by the member, of that
portion of your dues which is allocated to lobbying by the Alliance.
We are estimating that $22 of your dues will be spent on lobbying.
This portion of your dues are not deductible on your federal tax
returns. Please note that this is only an estimate.
Dues, contributions
or gifts to the IPA are not tax-deductible contributions.
However, they may be tax-deductible as ordinary and necessary
business expenses. $15 of your dues is for a subscription to
Indiana Pharmacist. |
