CPR Training

CPR Training Providers
Pharmacists may choose to obtain their CPR Certification from either the following two organizations (check both websites to compare cost, training dates/locations, and expiration date for CPR Certification:
 - American Heart Association
 - American Red Cross

Indiana State Law and Administrative Code (Rules)
856 IAC Article 4, Pharmacist Vaccinations Administered Via Protocol Authority, says that the pharmacist must: "(1) be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation; and (2) maintain certification as required by the certifying body".

Indiana Code 25-26-13-31.5(a)(2) says that the pharmacist "must be certified in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)".

Additional Training
In addition, some pharmacists may wish to enroll in the optional BLS for Healthcare Providers course. Read the American Heart Association - BLS Course Description.
