Contact your school's Student Executive representative to learn how you can become engaged with IPA today!

Wondering what the IPA does and how you can play an important role in the profession of pharmacy as a member of the IPA.

Here are the answers you’ve been looking for:
The IPA has been around for well over a century; established in 1882 by a small group of influential pharmacists. The original purpose of the IPA was to unite pharmacists and serve as an effective voice for legislative change in the field of pharmcy. Instead of having legislators decide what was best for pharmacists and their profession, pharmacists wanted to control their own destiny. Serving as a legislative voice still stands as one of the primary purposes of the IPA. The IPA works to find out what its members need and want and partners with lobbyists to drive the legislative process in their favor.

How can the IPA help you advance your career:

  • Develop leadership skills through participation in various events such as  Pharmacy Day at the Statehouse, the Future Pharmacist Conference and our Annual Convention & Expo
  • Earn recognition and honors as you compete for the Outstanding Student of the Year Award and the $2,000 McSoley Scholarship
  • Strengthen your clinical skills with free subscriptions to the Indiana Pharmacist Journal and InTouch e-News and be prepared for the board exam with our NAPLEX Licensure review
  • Network with hiring managers from across the state as well as Indiana pharmacist and student leaders
  • Have fun and relax at the PEF Golf Classic and the Dodgeball Tournament at Skyzone

What will it cost to join?

The cost for a student membership is only $25 annually.
